Holly Holderman's Dolly Blog Event

Holly Holderman, owner and designer of Lakehouse Dry Goods, created the cutest doll dresses panel you'll ever see! Holly approached several designers and requested each shop create a unique project using her doll dresses panel. We were very excited when she asked if Shabby Fabrics would design something. I was encouraged to embellish with buttons, trims, lace, and ric rac. Of course I said yes. I mean, who can resist all those darling embellishments and all their possibilities? Be sure to check Holly's Blog to see more featured shops over the next 15 days!

Dolly Dresses Tablerunner from Shabby Fabrics

As I thought of what to do with this panel, I thought how cute these dresses would be lined up down the center of a tablerunner with happy bouncy little girls all around the table. A tower of cupcakes in the center of the table would be the perfect finishing touch. What a fun tablerunner for a tea party or birthday party!

Here is our creation, made with much love and plenty of embellishments. My sweet friend Tricia Talbott top stitched the quilt on her personal sewing machine as her long arm quilter was being repaired at the shop. Tricia has saved me so many times with her willingness to top stitch my projects on very short notice. Thank you so much Tricia!

At this point in time, we are expecting to have these Lakehouse fabrics in May. The moment we get them, the kits will be cut and prepared for shipping complete with embellishments and patterns. We would ship the yummy cupcakes too if we could figure out a way to not get the frosting on the fabric! Smile!
