  1. Hi Jennifer, I can answer all three questions with the same answer. I ride my horse. As they say "to ride a horse is to ride the sky". Couldn't get any close to heaven.

  2. The thing I love most about Easter is that my daughter is never too old to receive an Easter basket from the Easter bunny. She's in college, and she still looks forward to Easter Sunday. We always have a big Italian family dinner after church, and we all love cooking. The kitchen gets a bit crowded, but that is the best part. My daughter and I also enjoy making special baskets for the little ones on our block. Needless to say, I love this holiday!

  3. I love Easter and getting up early and attending a Sunrise Service and celebrating the Resurrection of Christ through music and God's Word. Then enjoying a great Breakfast with our church family. What a joyous day it is.

  4. I love celebrating Christ's resurrection. We try to get together with family whether it be our kids and grandkids or our sisters and their families. We do ALWAYS go to Church for Easter (and every Sunday through the year!).

  5. My favorite part about Easter is watching the kids find eggs. I just love that! My youngest is the only one finding eggs this year :( it's going to be a sad year when he is done too.

We don't have any family traditions, except for having fun with the eggs/baskets. When I was growing up, I loved going to church.

This year, we get to hide eggs on a whole new piece of property. So that will be fun.

  6. My favorite part of Easter is getting the family together for a special dinner. It's especially fun now that my grandson is old enough to know what is going on. As for traditions, My kids still expect the Easter bunny to leave them a little something at my house. It doesn't have to be a basket but there had better be some chocolate involved.

  7. My favorite part of Easter is dinner with the family. Or deviled eggs. It might be a tossup, because I love them both. At this point, our only tradition is being together as a family. Hopefully this year we'll have a wonderful family dinner and a fun egg hunt!

  8. My favorite part of Easter is attending church with my mother to thank the Lord for his mercy and gift of salvation. Our tradition is to have a nice mid-day dinner afterwards with siblings and their families. This year it will be with my brother's family. Thanks for this lovely giveaway.

  9. My favorite part of Easter is gathering with family and celebrating our love for Christ! Our favorite tradition is our Easter breakfast. We set the table festively and enjoy a recipe handed down in my husband's family called Eggs a la Goldenrod. A very simple recipe that my kids all look forward to eating on Easter! It is the only day we make it and I think it is special because my husband's siblings all share this breakfast dish with their families also! I think that is the best part of traditions, they are the ties that bind families together with love!

  11. My favourite thing about Easter is that we all get together and have a huge family meal. Also for us in Australia it also means a change in weather when it starts to get a little cooler and the colours of the trees start to change so a beautiful time of year all round.

  12. As Christians, we celebrate Easter as a time of thanksgiving for the debt that has been paid. My daughters and their families both live a distance away, so don't know if we will be able to spend Easter together this year, but we will certainly try.

  13. My favorite part of Easter is reflecting on the sacrifice Christ made for each and every one of us, and how blessed I am to know Him as my Savior. In November of 1998, my hubby and I were both baptized into Christ at a wonderful Christian Church in our area. This Easter we will join other Veterans at our local American Legion for a wonderful breakfast brunch, then we will attend Church services. Hopefully our kids and grand kids will visit later in the day. Other than that, Easter is a quiet time of reflection for me.

  14. New beginnings is the best part about Easter, the winter is over, as I am in a cold climate, that means a lot. It's time for fresh air, spring bulbs popping up and clear blue skies.

We also have a family dinner with coconut cake for dessert.

  17. We have an Easter egg hunt. It used to be for our two girls but it is now for the two grandchildren. Weather permitting it is outside. It seems like during the summer or even into the fall we frequently run across an egg or two that was missed! Whatever the weather it is always a time for a family get together to celebrate spring and of course the real reason for the holiday the celebration of Jesus.

  18. My favorite part of Easter is reflection on Jesus and our faith in God. The memories I have of Easter past and the joy that I will share with my family celebrating this special day. We will be attending church and sharing a wonderful day and supper together. Hoping everyone will have a special day!

  19. My favorite part of Easter is spending time with my family. Our tradition is to have devilled eggs, no matter whose house we're celebrating at. My mother also makes an Easter basket for my husband and I, and for my dad (which will likely stop once we have kids!) She can't help herself : ) This year we will probably have lunch at my in-laws' house and dinner at my parents' house.

  20. My favourite part of easter is having my two girls home. Adults they are but they still love the Easter Egg hunt on Easter morning.

  22. I remember great Easters as a child. My Grandmother would make them very special. This year I will be spending Easter with an old friend from highschool that I haven't seen for quite a few years.

  23. Easter is about celebrating God and family. We will be visiting our son and his family in Oregon, and thinking about the rest of our children and their families. Happy Easter to everyone!

  24. Hi Jennifer
The things i love about Easter is the quiet reflection that comes with this Holiday.
My kids (30 yr and 40 yr) believe it or not, still like their Easter baskets - won't give them up!!
And of course.......it wouldn't be Easter without the yellow Peeps and jelly beans!!

  25. We go to church to celebrate the resurrection and then have the traditional Easter ham dinner with as many family as can come.

  26. I work in a hospital, so am excited to have vacation this year, the whole week leading up to Easter. We'll host dinner. The best part for my family is dying the eggs. All four of us love it, including my husband. I prepare at least 2 dozen for our color happiness, and we try out new techniques and shades each year.

  27. Easter and April is my very favorite time of the year. I love Winter leaving and Spring arriving. It is a time of renewal and the resurrection of my savior Jesus Christ. I will spend Easter Sunday at church with my family. Lisa in Texas

  28. When the kids were little my mother in law always had an Easter egg hunt, they are all grown, but we still love to get together and even as adults they look for an Easter basket of goodies, usually not as much candy, but handy little items as well as things like socks, deodorant, etc. And now a days, they look forward to some quilty item for their home. Grandson still loves the candy! ;-)

  29. My favorite part of Easter is the sunrise service. As I see the cool darkness overtaken by the emerging sunrise, I can imagine the women in the garden discovering Jesus has risen from the dead.

Peeps are a family tradition. Mom and I always look forward to our first Easter peep sighting.

This year we will visit my parents on Saturday and go to the sunrise service on Sunday.

  30. In my country (Venezuela) Easter is a very religious holiday, and we do have a few activities which are quite different than those in North America and Europe. My favorite part of Easter has always been spending more time with the family and the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. This year, unfortunatelly, my children and grandchildren are scattered in different parts of the globe: my son and his three children are posted in Qatar; Vanessa and her lovely 18 months old baby is going to spend the time with her father in a different part of the country, and my youngest daughter is living in New Haven, Co., so I´ll be all alone this year
:( I will definitely take the opportunity to catch up with my unfinished hand quilting projects. I¨ll probably ¨hide¨ a chocolate egg for myself to ¨find¨ on Easter Sunday! (LOL) That´ll be fun!

  32. My favorite thing about Easter is family...getting together for Easter dinner and seeing all the little ones dressed up, with their little suits for boys and the little firls in their dresses with their "Easter Bonnets" It just isn't Easter without an Egg Hunt...and it doesn't matter how old you are...everyone loves to hunt for the eggs. So this year Grampa and I will hide the eggs and when the family arrives everyone will make a b-line for the backyard to start hunting. (HA! HA! HA!) what they don't know is that we've decided to hold it in the front yard. With hundreds of daffodils and tulips to hide them amongst this will really be a challenge for them. I love FAMILY time.

  33. My favorite thing about this Easter is that our daughter is old enough (15 months) to play with Easter toys! So sweet and so much fun to put together a basket for her knowing she will love to carry a new bunny around. :-)

  34. As a child we would go to the country club for the buffet. Since we did this I'd always miss the end of the movie The Robe. It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I finally saw the whole movie. Loved going to the buffet but frustrated that I never saw the end of that movie!! Now I go to the Easter Vigil Mass and listen to my husband play his trumpet. Afterwards, the church has a reception for those attending this mass.

Hello Anne & Fellow Bunny Friends!
My favorite thing about Easter is reflecting on the great LOVE that Jesus has for us. I remember His suffering & sacrifice... but celebrate His resurrection most of all! It is a day that reminds me that there is great hope even when life gets difficult. I usually make a special breakfast on Easter morning, we attend church & try to have dinner with family. We'll probably do the same thing this year.
    Blessings to all,
    Laura

  38. First of all I love the smell of the fresh green grass, warm sunshine and watching nieces and nephews hunt for Easter eggs. I giggle when the toddlers who are just learning to walk when they bend over to pick up one egg and 3 more roll back out of their baskets...too cute.

  39. I love everything about Easter. My mom makes a bunny cake every year. We hunt eggs too.

  40. This year Easter is being held off until we move into our new house!! I usually have all the major holidays held here at my house because i have the biggest house to accommodate everyone!! I love cooking for everyone and I love spending the time with my family and the in laws!! My children are to old to do the easter egg hunt thing anymore so we just buy them some candy and that satisfies them!!

  42. Our family gathers together and that is the tradition, to have family close and to share a meal and to catch up on life. This year it is such a gift in Australia there will be five day holiday so wonderful to be able to share time with those that are usually so busy. It is a blessing.

  43. My husband is a minister and we have attended sunrise services at the park with a breakfast fellowship at the church. We will then have the morning worship services. Afterwards we have a meal with other families from the church and family that comes to town.

We are now the grandparents and our daughter-in- love loves to host the annual Easter luncheon. She prepares a wonderful meal and decorates beautifully. She has all types of activities for the children.

  44. Hi! Spring is my favorite time of year. Just love all the colors and the fresh smell of clean air. We typically gather early in the morning when the kids go through their Easter baskets. A little bit of chocolate is part of the small breakfast we have in the morning. Ordinarily, we have a big family dinner later in the afternoon. Our son was born around this time so we sometimes have a double celebration. This year we will celebrate the week before cause we are moving so will be busy packing. Just the same we will take time to remember what Easter is all about.

  45. Oh, Easter--my favorite Holiday! My husband and I have lost our parents, so the joy of the Resurrection has special meaning for us and our boys. Other Holidays can bring sadness when you've lost loved ones--but Easter just brings hope! My husband is a pastor, and this year he's at a new church. We always "adopt" the widows, and after services will be visiting them with baskets of deviled eggs and chocolate bunnies AND scarves that I've made with your Psalm fat quarters! Instead of grousing about not having a big extended family to spend the day with, we make an extended family of our own!

  47. When I was growing up, we had a huge Easter egg hunt at my grandmothers after church on Easter Sunday. With 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, it was quite a crowd! When the kids got too old to hunt, they became the ones to dye and hide the eggs. Now my Easter tradition is to have a special dinner with my family (just 4 of us!). I kind of miss the old days...
