Designer Focus - Barri Sue Gaudet of Bareroots and Giveaway!

Introducing our next featured designer: Barri Sue Gaudet of Bareroots!  Barri is well-known for her stunning embroidery projects which have a vintage flair.  Here's a bit more about her, as well as lots of photos!

 

Barri Sue Gaudet started Bareroots designs in 1998. She has always loved  drawing simple little designs and quilting.

A project from the Favorite Embroidery Stitches book.

Her designs translated well into stitchery designs worked into pieced quilts, pillows, totes, and other embellished items.

I love how her studio is set up to enjoy the view!

Darling wool applique!

Barri has added wool felt applique into her patterns. This is seen in abundance in the Bareroots line of candle mat patterns & kits.

  

Barri has two grown sons and lives in a tiny little town called June Lake in the Eastern Sierra range of California. She lives there with her husband Ron, two old cats and dog. In addition to stitchery and quilting, Barri enjoys knitting and hiking.

Barri recently opened a little shop that features stitchery, sewing, and knitting in Bishop, California called Sierra Cottons & Wools.
