Celebrate the Year: Our 2013 Mystery Block of the Month!
Many of you participated in the Country Cottages Mystery BOM last year, and we have just launched our Mystery BOM for 2013! "Celebrate the Year" is a beautiful quilt designed right here at Shabby Fabrics. This wonderful 44" x 55 1/2" quilt features piecing, applique, embroidery, and embellishments to celebrate each month! This program runs February 2013-December 2013. Each month, you will receive the pattern, fabrics (wool felt and cotton), embroidery floss, and special embellishments to complete one 10" x 10" block. The cost is only $10 to sign up and then just $27 for each month (Free S/H to the USA and $5 for Int'l) Join us today!
Of course, you can also choose to download the free pattern each month and use fabrics from your stash. If you prefer this option, click here to view the downloads.
We hope you'll join us in creating this wonderful quilt!

ReplyDeleteCan you give us the link to the Flickr group for this BOM? The link in the January pattern is wrong. It's linking to the Country Cottages Flickr group. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, eagle eye! The Celebrate the Year Flickr page is indeed different, and can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/2159545@N21/
DeleteThank you!
Oh my goodness, I just saw the Dolly & Me pattern set. I am getting that set, but my question is what fabric set was used for the quilt? I love the fabrics, it just makes this quilt look that much more whimsical. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie,
DeleteThere was no specific collection used for that quilt, it includes fabrics from a variety of groups and manufacturers. We have identified some of them as Lakehouse Dolly Dresses fabrics, though. Good luck!
Oh! And Lakehouse Pam Kitty Love.
DeleteThank you so much. I will be ordering the patterns probably next week. Yeah a new project!!
DeleteI just found your blog and see your beautiful pattern for January 2013. I read that you have a Flickr group. I signed up for Flickr and I guess I can't find the group. Do you have a link to your Flickr group?
ReplyDeleteHi GG,
DeleteHere is the direct link to our Flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/2159545@N21/
We're glad to have you join us!
Thank you for the new mystery. After a lot of PC troble and moving house I'm finally 'ready' to pick up where I left of, collecting last years houses :-((.
ReplyDeleteSo I have to put myself in a higher gear I guess LOL.
I hope you don't mind my next question. I'm from the Netherlands and I know a lot of Dutch quilters follow your BOM's. ( I just put the link on a quilter's noticeboard as well)Is it, may be..... pretty please.... possible to add the months in Dutch. There are a lot of english patterns and we enjoy them, but I also know most of us would love to make a Dutch version.
In case it is, here are they:
Januari
Februari
Maart
April
Juni
Juli
Augustus
September
Oktober
November
December
That would be so fantastic
If it's too much, please excuse me for asking and we'll still lov3e the pattern and you generosity
Wishing you a great day
Dea
What a great idea, Dea! I have added Dutch to the list. You will need to download the pattern again for the updates. Dank u!
DeleteThank you so much!!! And you are so fast :-)).
ReplyDeleteI hope some Dutch quilters will show you their block when they made it. It'll be some time before I can, I'm trying to dig a hole in my UFO's LOL.
Thanks again.
Dutch hugs
Dea

DeleteI started my January block and love the blue fabrics. I know I am going to love this project. Being a long time crazy quilter, watch out for the embellishments! Such fun.
