Summer Crafts for Kids!

It's that time of year when kids are getting out of school for the summer and parents are thinking "How am I going to keep them busy?!"  We've put together a list of projects we carry that are great for kids!

For starters, try out a brooch pattern.  We have the Camelia Gigantus Brooch, the Berry Bunch Brooch, and the Perfect Pansy Brooch (shown top to bottom).  Each of these can be used to decorate hair clips, headbands, hats, jackets, backpacks, purses, totes, and so much more!

If the brooches are a good choice, you'll also love the simple projects of We Love to Sew.  This book is filled with all kinds of simple sewing and crafting projects that are geared toward 8-14 year old girls.
Teach your kids how to quilt with the one of the simplest quilting patterns ever:
Easy As ABC & 123!  This is a great pattern to practice accurate cutting, seam allowances, color placement, and basic borders.  Choose a group of fat quarters and you're well on your way!
Lastly, these three felt/wool felt kits are a great way to keep hands busy for awhile:  Forest Friends Finger Puppet Kit, Fairytale Finger Puppets Kit, and Warm Hands Felt Ornament Kit (shown top to bottom).  These also make excellent gifts!

Happy Crafting!
