October in Review

October is quickly coming to an end, and the holiday season is upon us! This month we've introduced many great patterns on our website. Here's a brief run-down of all the latest patterns plus some tried-and-true favorites.

Contrary
Contrary will make a bold statement in your home regardless of your color scheme. Pair your favorite color with white for the biggest contrast or choose two complementary colors for a more subdued statement.

Paris Flea Market
Choose your favorite fabrics from Moda's Paris Flea Market collection and pair them with the quilt of the same name.

Susan's Dresden Garden
Susan's Dresden Garden would be the perfect pattern to showcase the calm blues and greens found in Subtle Skies.

Tribute
Choose your favorite Layer Cake for this pre-cut friendly quilt or choose from Minick and Simpson's Midwinter Reds collection for Moda Fabrics to re-create the quilt as shown.

Abigail's Pins
Love triangles? Abigail's Pins uses sawtooth star blocks, cake stand blocks, and quarter square triangle blocks so you'll get plenty of practice piecing triangles! Use the color scheme shown for a great autumn quilt or switch it up and match your decor or chosen season.

Charming and Quaint
Visit yesteryear with the Charming and Quaint Six Block Quilt. Expand your piecing skills with the six blocks in this sampler quilt.

Happy Trails
Pearl P. Pereira is a true artist and has created a stunning appliqued quilt once again. Happy Trails is a Baltimore Album Quilt and will be an heirloom pass down through the generations.

Shine
Surfside
Poppies
ShineSurfside and Poppies are all shown with fabrics from Moda's Scrumptious collection but would work wonderfully with your favorite fabrics!

Summer Afternoon
Scrumptious also makes a cameo appearance on Kati Cupcake's Summer Afternoon pillow, but the hand-embroidered summer scene takes center stage!

Benji's Pockets - In Stitches
Expand your embroidery skills with Benji's Pockets - In Stitches. Create a keepsake quilt celebrating the little (or not-so-little) boy in your life!

Santa Stop Here Bag
If you believe in snowmen, the surely you believe in Santa too! Make this adorable bag featuring simple piecing and stitchery to collect gifts from Santa on Christmas morning!

High Street Traveler's Sewing Kit
Last but not least, make yourself a cute sewing clutch so you can take all your sewing essentials with you wherever you go this holiday season and beyond!

From simple to elaborate, pieced to appliqued, whimsical to elegant, October's patterns are sure to have something for everyone! Which pattern is your favorite?

Until next time,
Jessie

  1. my favorite is tribute - love it in the midwinter reds as shown - both soft and strong colors. Some day I will make that pumpkin runner as well.
