Block of the Month Programs & GIVEAWAY!

November is shaping up to be an exciting month at Shabby Fabrics! We have 5 new Block of the Month programs starting in November alone. Currently, there are a total of 13 programs you can sign up for now.

Have you ever participated in a Block of the Month? Here are some great reasons to join a program today:
  • You'll have fun packages arriving in the mail every month!
  • Because you pay a portion each month, it is easier to budget for those big quilts you might not be able to afford otherwise.
  • With our Loyalty Points, you earn 5% back on your entire program!
  • One-stop shopping for the top fabrics, borders, bindings, embellishments, and embroidery floss--all included in a high-quality kit from Shabby Fabrics!
We have a wide variety of quilts available. Depending on your preference for appliqued or pieced quilts and your skill level, you're sure to find one that suits you. We even have a quilt that combines pieced blocks, redwork embroidery and applique if you want to do it all!

To simplify the process of choosing the right program for you, I've listed them below in their starting order. Just click on the title to see the rest of the details and sign up. Don't forget to enter our giveaway at the bottom of the page too!

As Susan F. said on Facebook, "I have 'joined' a couple of the Block of the Month quilts.... there is more than enough fabric to finish the design, the designs are just too, too cute and the directions are very clear.... and these [laser-cut] are already cut out for us.... woo hoo.... don't be afraid to join.... well worth it...."

  8. I do like BOM programs and have participated in several, but it has been a long time. What I like about them is doing a block each month is pretty darn easy, the project is coordinated and before you know it you have a quilt top finished.
I highly recommend BOM programs to anyone, if you have tried them before you need to. You'll enjoy it. But for me I also prefer to have a BOM where the design and fabrics just spark my interest, or I see it as being a great way to get a gift made for someone.

  13. I'm currently enrolled in the "Sweet Stitches" BOM and love it! I'm stitching each block as it arrives, but instead of finishing as individual "mini" quilts, I'm going to join all the blocks together into one large quilt. Each block arrives on schedule and Shabby Fabrics is a great company to work with. I'll be signing up for another BOM soon!
    Thanks!

  45. I'm just finishing up Vintage Redwork Snowmen. I have had so much fun embroidering the snowmen and putting the blocks together. Easy to read directions and plenty of fabrics, just in case you go, Ooops!

  46. I am signed up for Sunday Ride, and I am so excited. I've never done a block of the month before, though I've been quilting for many years. I heard about this particular one because I am on your email list. One of the reasons I went ahead with the program (and why I am looking forward to it) is because it breaks down a rather time intensive quilt into smaller chunks so I won't be overwhelmed. I truly am so excited and can't wait to get my first block. Thanks for the give-away, by the way.

  54. I would highly recommend a novice quilter doing a BOM from your shoppe.
First of all, it would take all the frustration out of picking the fabrics. Many new quilters' have a time with this. Everything is included in each monthly package. Plus, it is like getting a little Christmas gift, every month of the year!!!

  77. he only BOMs I have ever wanted to try are Shabby Fabrics' because they're always the cutest and the fabrics are just so beautiful. I've been really thinking about taking the plunge and making "Follow Your Heart" my first BOM because it's adorable with delicious fabric. Also the fact that it is only 6 months is tempting because the main reason 'I don't dare' is because times are hard and am afraid of the added worry if one month it's an expense I can't really afford, do you know what I mean? Although I'm sooo tempted with this one :-)
