A Sneak Peek!

You may have noticed that The Shabby has been unusually quiet lately. However, it's been quite the opposite here at the shop! There's been a flurry of activity as we've worked on a great number of surprises for you.

In the past, Jennifer's quilts have included embroidered accents, but she had never designed a quilt centered around embroidery. Until now...

Jennifer is giving you the first glance at her brand-new redwork embroidery quilt!

Of course we don't want to give away all of our secrets! See that cute plaid print peaking out from behind the candy cane? It's framing another aspect of the quilt that brings it all together into one stunning design.

We can't wait to reveal the complete quilt! You'll be able to see the full quilt and sign up for the Block of the Month in just a few weeks but in the meantime, keep watching for more sneak peeks from Shabby Fabrics!

Pssst!.......What do you think is hiding underneath the candy cane block?

    1. You and Jennifer must think alike--the candle isn't under the candy cane, but you will find it elsewhere on the quilt!

  7. I think it might be Santa or possibly Rudolph with his red nose. Either way it's definitely a MUST have. It's already stunning. Can hardly wait.

  8. I love the green, red and plaid accent fabrics. Those fabrics really contrast nicely with the embroidery without overwhelming it. I know it is worth the wait to see the whole quilt.

  17. I love this design. Redwork is one of my favorites. This would be a wonderful design to offer in machine embroidery as well. Many of us are of an age that hand embroidery is no longer an option. Just something to think about.

    1. Kathy, thank you for your comment and suggestion! You're right--that is something worth considering. In the meantime, you can see the machine embroidery CDs that are currently available at Shabby Fabrics by entering "machine embroidery" in the search box. We have 3 redwork embroidery CDs as well as others.
