Fabric Roundup Friday | December 12, 2014

It's that time again! This is where I feature the new collections of the week! This is just a little taste of all of the new merchandise we have gotten in this week, but not to worry, you can view all of the awesome new stuff we are offering in Our Shop. I know what you're thinking; I said "stuff" instead of "fabrics." That's because this week there are some new tools in the post as well, not just the usual array of beautiful fabrics!

Let's begin with the fabrics, shall we? Keep in mind these are just little sneak peeks, head over to Shabby Fabrics to see the full collections!

Peacock Shimmer by Timeless Treasures Fabrics. This collection features gold accents alongside rich blues, greens, and purples in florals and feather-like designs and a bold print featuring a large peacock on a floral background. Here are three of the stunning fabrics from this shimmering collection: Image Map

Everything Blue II by Marsha McCloskey for Clothwork Fabrics- This collection features a wide range of blues from a light denim color to deep navy but it definitely won't give you the blues. The prints are many classic patterns designed in a new, playful, way and include florals, damask, stripes, scrolls, dots, and more. Image Map

Roses & Chocolate by Sentimental Studios for Moda Fabrics- Roses and chocolate is the perfect name for this predominantly floral collection. The mix of pinks and greens matched with rich chocolate brown creates that wonderfully shabby-chic feel that is so comforting and beautiful. The prints include large, bolder florals, rose paisleys, and tonal floral ditsy. Image Map

Regent Street Lawns by Sentimental Studios for Moda Fabrics- This has been a very popular collection and in fact it is the second time we've had it in stock! The not-quite-pastels in this collection make the prints extra interesting using florals and paisleys to draw the eye in every direction. Occasional use of deep navy or bold pink creates layers in the fabrics and its makes this collection super gorgeous. Image Map

Now let's move onto the new tools we have:
1. This is a two pack of Red Frixion Clicker pens which combines the convenience of a retractable pen with the incredible, erasable FriXion gel ink! Great for marking patterns and lines for embroidery work. Pens are refillable. Fine point 0.7mm.These pens feature a unique thermo-sensitive gel ink that disappears when you apply heat -- simply iron your fabric after you finish your embroidery and the ink will disappear!
2. This Pinking Blade is a circular rotary replacement designed to place "teeth" on the edge of fabric to reduce raveling and to add a unique edge to any project. It is great for crafts and can be used on virtually any fabric, even fleece! This blade is made of stainless steel for sharpness and durability. For Deluxe 45mm Rotary Cutter (RTY2DX).
3. This is a No-Sew product. Heat N Bond is a paper backed sheet of adhesive activated by heat. With its low temperature and short pressing time it allows for a wide array of materials to be bonded. This double sided adhesive is great for bonding fabric in place of pinning or basting. Once applied to your fabric, you can draw directly on the paper backing to easily design your desired shapes. Measures 17" wide.  We carry Heat N Bond in Feather Lite, Lite, and Ultrahold. Image Map
